Egg Timer Privacy

This notice explains what data we collect, how we use it, and which third-parties help us deliver the app.

  1. Information We Access
  • Location (Required): used exclusively for Auto-detect Altitude. Data stays on-device and is never transmitted.
  • Barometer & Motion Sensors: optional “Boost accuracy with barometer” reads ambient pressure locally and discards results immediately.
  • Notifications (Required): needed to alert you when timers finish, even in the background.
  1. On-device Storage
  • Preferences, altitude units, premium status, and altitude references are stored in iOS secure storage (UserDefaults/Keychain). No analytics or behavioral data is collected.
  1. Third-party Services
  • Google Mobile Ads SDK serves ads to non-premium users and may receive device identifiers required for ad delivery.
  • Apple StoreKit processes any in-app purchases; payment data never touches our servers.
  1. User Controls
  • Disable location, motion, or notifications anytime via iOS Settings > Egg Timer. Turning off location disables Auto-detect Altitude.
  • Premium purchases remove ads across all devices tied to the same Apple ID.
